Based in Lympne, Kent, Euromotive (Kent) Limited provides minibus conversions and patient transfer vehicles (PTS) for a variety of industries. With its flexible approach to tailor-made conversions that meet individual needs, Euromotive is the preferred converter for a wide variety of customers including local authorities, community transport organisations, charitable organisations and private bodies, and is the recommended supplier to the NHS.

Founded in 1994, the business has grown to employ more than 40 staff and produces over 300 conversions a year. The company’s success and growth has won them several awards, most recently achieving runner-up in the Shepway Business Awards.
Euromotive’s team of Directors lead a professional work force that has extensive knowledge in the industry sectors the conversions suit. With constant attention to detail they review and develop new ideas and research greener, more efficient methods of meeting their clients’ requirements.


Euromotive first installed Pegasus Opera in 1998. Paul Wrigley, Managing Director at Euromotive, felt that the system supported their initial requirements very well; the software was easy to use and coped with the company’s needs easily. With staff and production increasing, Euromotive wanted to ensure they were using the most up-to-date technology. They were looking for a solution that provided advanced functionality, flexibility, ease of use, reliability and one that benefits from the latest technological advancements.
The decision to upgrade was made primarily to move to the new 32 bit system that offered so much more functionality. A user of Opera for many years, migration to Opera II was an obvious choice. Euromotive was impressed by the scalability of Opera II, which will accommodate their current needs and future growth.


Euromotive worked with their existing Pegasus Partner; the relationship they had built up over the years gave them complete peace of mind that the upgrade would be quick, simple and a seamless process - and it was! Paul was very impressed that the transition did not cause any disruption to their daily business practice and it was totally stress free as their existing data was imported easily into the new system:

“I was impressed with the smoothness of the upgrade; it truly was a straight-forward exercise, with all our historical data available in the new system immediately.”
The improved reporting and printing facilities in Opera II made the decision to upgrade very easy, but when shown how the Bill of Materials module integrates with their existing Costing module, Euromotive realised they would gain so much more efficiency.


Paul was impressed with how the Bill of Materials module takes control of all the company’s manufacturing requirements. With this new module in place Euromotive is able to calculate whether there are sufficient stock components to complete the required quantity for the final assembly, identify any shortfalls, and assembly structures can be temporarily changed to meet the specific needs of a customer.

Flexibility, ease of use and reliability is critical to the business, but the level of integration between modules in Opera II was the biggest selling point for Paul:

“The integration between the new modules we have purchased has given the system a totally seamless feel and reduced data entry considerably.”

The addition of Opera II Payroll and Personnel, which replaced their existing Sage Line 50 Payroll, has also proven invaluable in linking to the Costing module. This has dramatically reduced duplication of work and increased productivity. Paul has noticed that the detail available in reports has increased significantly; particularly offering a greater insight into the profitability of each individual job. Ultimately control of the whole business has improved.

Implementation of several new features, including use of e-mailed Sales Ledger statements and Purchase Ledger remittance advices has proven stress free and very cost effective. Paul explains how Euromotive is benefiting from savings on postage and administration costs:

“Opera II has reduced our paperwork by 20% and our postage costs by 50%.”

Euromotive also keeps copies of invoices on the system so that whenever there is a need to find a single record, it is there at the click of a mouse rather then having to plough through thousands of pieces of paper - not only have they saved space, but considerable time.

Paul has been very impressed with the upgrade to Opera II, which has far exceeded his expectations:

“The upgrade has proved excellent value for money and I am confident that the improvements made will significantly improve Euromotive’s business management.”
