Opera II Best Practice Tips

Opera II market leading accounting software

Dynamic views

Dynamic views in Opera II are available throughout the Financials, in Stock, SPM and Payroll. They provide instant access to high level information, with drilldown to transaction level in most cases. This offers the user up to six levels of ad-hoc analysis and reporting, with the ability to apply colour definition and export to Microsoft Word or Excel. Dynamic views are user definable, and can be set up within Maintenance.

New Enhancements available:

  • View Invoice Due Date: The user can now easily view the Due Date of an Invoice posted to the Customer Account and the Due Date of an Invoice posted to the Supplier Account in Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger Views.

  • Amend Invoice Due Date: An option to amend an Invoice's Due Date has been added to the Allocation function within Sales Processing.

  • View Reference Code: An option to include the Description, Reference Code or both on the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Nominal Ledger, Costing and Payroll View has been added to the Criteria tab. Previously, the display of information relating to the first level of analysis in the View form was restricted to Description only. Now, the user may select whether to show the Reference Code alongside the Description, or just the Reference Code.

  • Nominal Ledger View: A new level of analysis, Account + Cost Centre, is now included in the selection list when creating a Nominal Ledger View.
