The Gallery Press moves to Opera II

The Gallery Press, one of Ireland’s oldest and most prestigious literary publishing houses, has migrated its financial solutions software, Opera from Pegasus, to Opera II.  The decision to migrate to Opera II in advance of next year’s changeover was prompted by early discounts but the result has been satisfactory for a number of additional reasons.

Anne Duggan, publisher’s assistant at The Gallery Press, explains:  “We are fairly straightforward in our use of Opera.  We use it for our sales and issuing of invoices.  The changeover was very simple and we have an added benefit that our end-of-month financial reports are printed much faster.”

Duggan is very happy also with the customer service received from Pegasus.  “Problems are resolved quickly and the support staff are very helpful. And best of all, my end of month reports are finished in half the time.”

Carmelisa Dunne, business development manager with Pegasus, welcomes the early migration to Opera II.  “Migration to a significant upgrade can sometimes appear an irritant, but the early adopter discounts combined with ease of system setup and no rekeying of data makes it a positive experience.

“In addition, the improved debtor control functionality will help businesses improve their cash flow, which is a strong reason to move to the new software.”

Opera II Financials provides companies with the integrated tools to fully control their business and processes, and to help drive it forward. With instant access to up to the minute financial data, management can efficiently track and analyse key information, improve productivity and make informed strategic decisions.  Included in the new Opera II Financials are sales, purchase, nominal, advanced nominal, multi currency, cashbook and costing ledgers.
