The Gallery Press moves to Opera II

The Gallery Press, one of Ireland’s oldest and most prestigious literary publishing houses, has migrated its financial solutions software, Opera from Pegasus, to Opera II.  The decision to migrate to Opera II in advance of next year’s changeover was prompted by early discounts but the result has been satisfactory for a number of additional reasons.

Anne Duggan, publisher’s assistant at The Gallery Press, explains:  “We are fairly straightforward in our use of Opera.  We use it for our sales and issuing of invoices.  The changeover was very simple and we have an added benefit that our end-of-month financial reports are printed much faster.”

Duggan is very happy also with the customer service received from Pegasus.  “Problems are resolved quickly and the support staff are very helpful. And best of all, my end of month reports are finished in half the time.”

Carmelisa Dunne, business development manager with Pegasus, welcomes the early migration to Opera II.  “Migration to a significant upgrade can sometimes appear an irritant, but the early adopter discounts combined with ease of system setup and no rekeying of data makes it a positive experience.
