Pegasus Announces New End-to-End CRM Strategy, Reshapes Management Team

Pegasus, the leading supplier of modular financial and business management software to small and mid-market businesses, announced today that it plans to launch a new entrant into the integrated CRM space this summer.

Sitting directly inside its popular Pegasus Opera II financial and supply chain management system which is already in use by over 25,000 companies, the new Opera II Sales Pipeline Management (SPM) module will be positioned as a streamlined and fully integrated approach to the common problem of combining CRM with supply chain and financial management applications in small and mid-market businesses.
The company claims that many CRM deployments fail to meet with customer expectations due to unforeseen practical complexities and weak integration with existing business systems.

Focusing on integrating the primary functions of sales pipeline management; rich contact management, prospect and client marketing together with flexible quotation handling, the company believes that its new Opera II SPM module will complete its strategy of offering an easily deployable, end-to-end application suite for the small to mid-market.

It expects to bring the new SPM offering to market by August.

Pegasus Reshapes Management Team
The company also announced today that it plans to restructure its management team to drive the company’s growth strategy forwards. The restructuring follows the announcement today of the departure of Managing Director, Gary Turner who will continue in his post until June 1, overseeing the completion of the company’s financial year.

From June, Kevin McCallum will assume the new post of Commercial Director and Kathryne Jobling is taking on the new post of Operations Director, both having held key management positions in the business in recent years.

Following the acquisition of its parent company, Systems Union, in August 2006, Pegasus has been operating as a subsidiary business unit of Infor Global Solutions. Ken Walters, President of Infor’s financial solutions division said, “Infor is totally committed to driving Pegasus forwards. While we regret Gary’s decision to leave, we also respect it was his personal decision. I would like to thank him for his significant contribution, particularly since joining Infor, and we all wish him well.”

Turner said “After a very enjoyable and rewarding twelve years at Pegasus and as part of the team that returned the company to health and prosperity in recent times, I am obviously leaving with mixed emotions. But I concluded that the timing was natural for me to seek out a different challenge. Pegasus adapted well through the Infor transition last year; software license sales remain buoyant and the product roadmap is right for sustaining future success.” Turner concluded.
