Success for Pegasus at the Business Software Satisfaction Awards
10 October 2007
The Business Software Satisfaction Awards, held by Sift Media, the company that provides online communities such as AccountingWEB, are based on the views of nearly 2000 software users who took the time to complete a survey stating what they thought of the systems they used. This makes the Awards a unique accolade and a truly independent and effective indicator of the current market. As a result, the awards are an invaluable guide to any business considering its software options.
Pegasus products were shortlisted in the following categories: Opera II for mid-range financials, Opera II for Payroll and Pegasus XRL for the Excel-based application with XRL winning its category.
Users voted on a number of areas – ease of use, functionality, value for money and reliability, with Pegasus XRL coming out on top.
Pegasus Opera II came a close second in the Mid-Range Accounting Software category and Opera II Payroll was a credible third in the Payroll category.
Commenting on the awards, Kevin McCallum, Commercial Director at Pegasus said “The strong performance of the Opera II family of products, including XRL, in three categories combined with JMC, one of Pegasus’ Strategic Partners, winning the Reseller of the Year Award, is a testament to the success of Opera II in the market and why they continue to be the leading products in this area. The accounting software arena is heavily contested with lots of established and new entrants so it’s even more gratifying that we are still viewed in high esteem. Every one of us at Pegasus and our Channel Partners are responsible for this award, and we are proud that we have been recognised by the people using the solutions we provide day-in, day-out.”
“The role of the finance department has changed and is now as much about getting information out of the system and presenting it to the right people at the right time. Pegasus XRL has taken this to another level due to the Excel integration combined with the wealth and depth of data analysis available from Opera II,” concluded Kevin.
